ABOUT ROBERT CURRERI

Born and raised in New York, Robert Curreri began his career in the early 90’s as a music video colorist at National Video Industries working on videos for David Byrne, Lenny Kravitz, Tribe Called Quest, and Wu Tang Clan to name a few. In 1999 he took his craft to Los Angeles post house Riot Santa Monica and became one of the most prominent short form colorists in his field coloring dozens of music videos for bands like Weezer, My Chemical Romance, All American Rejects, Papa Roach and Blink-182 for directors Marcos Siega, Marc Webb and others.

In 2002 Robert left Riot to join The Syndicate and began working in TV commercials. His accomplishments over the years include spots for Nike, Target, Reebok, Budweiser, Honda, Toyota, Sprint, Guess, Lucky Brand, Sony, LG to name a few.

By 2008 Robert began working more in long form coloring documentary series for HBO, Showtime, The Sundance Channel and Fox Sports. Some of his highlights include working with Peter Bogdonovich on the Tom Petty and the Heartbreaker Showtime documentary “Running Down a Dream” as well as the 2014 HBO series “Sonic Highways” for Dave Grohl. Meanwhile he kept coloring music videos for the likes of Lady Gaga, Lil’ Wayne, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, G-Eazy, Migos and many more.

Currently as of 2021 Robert has a climbing documentary called “The Alpinist” in theaters catching rave reviews as well as the indie arthouse film “El Planeta”.
